The Tennessee State athletic department aimed to enhance their football program's profile and compete with nationally-ranked FCS and high-major FBS teams. To achieve this, they created a social media and creative campaign called "Dreaming About the Ville" that utilized graphics, videos, and photography to engage fans and potential recruits while operating on a limited budget. Aaron Quinn, a graduate assistant, was recruited as a dedicated content manager for football and played a role in creating campaign slogans and designing visuals. The strategic plan emphasized the opportunity to make an impact at an HBCU school while attracting NFL attention. Additionally, the football locker room at Nissan Stadium was revitalized to honor TSU's football legends, and Quinn designed the university's first-ever equipment truck wrap. These efforts resulted in an increase in TSU football's social media following, with over 40,000 followers on Twitter and Instagram. This success translated into attracting higher-level prospects interested in on-field impact and off-field NIL opportunities.
